Turkey Talk and SOLIDWORKS World 2015

by Tandy Banks

I love this time of year.  Leaves are changing, the air is crisp and my favorite sports are in full swing.  I also love getting together with family for big meals.  So I was thinking about how I was possibly going to top last year’s delicious turkey!  But it wasn’t too long until my mind started wondering in other directions and I wanted to share my journey with you.

Turkey Talk SWW2015

Turkeys are really cool animals; not so pretty in the facial region but they strut like a boss.  The iconic image of the perfectly prepared bird as the centerpiece of a family meals invokes thoughts of comfort, gastronomic pleasure and of course naptime!  As I was pondering the best way to cook the star of our meal I considered: roasting, basting, frying and smoking.  One preparation I have never tried is to cook the bird is the colonial method of open-fire.  “Fiery Bird” I thought! My mind lead me to think of an image of a Phoenix and next thing I know my mind is off the bird and onto all of the college football games played in the Phoenix, AZ area during bowl season.  That led to thoughts about the Phoenix conference center which happens to be the venue for SOLIDWORKS World 2015!!!

Whether you are new to the SOLIDWORKS family or a user since 1995, SOLIDWORKS World is an event like no other.  Each year thousands of people flock to this exciting 4-day tour.  Break-out training sessions, getting to interact with other SOLIDWORKS users and the extremely entertaining general sessions are just a few reasons to attend.  SOLIDWORKS always puts on the best conference and they do so every year!  Just when you think there is no way they can top last year, they find a way to blow our minds.  Some of the most interesting people and products have been introduced into our community via SOLIDWORKS World.  Take a look at the video below to see what I mean.  We look forward to seeing you in Phoenix in February!
