Linear patterns that go in two directions are even easier in SOLIDWORKS 2024.

Sheet Metal

New in SOLIDWORKS 2024 Sheet Metal, Tab, and Slot features can be propagated to adjacent components when we reuse a part that already has Tab and Slot features defined. The Stamp feature is a new way to create a formed feature with a closed sketch. This can save time and effort by skipping the step of setting up a forming tool. Creating sheet metal part from cylindrical and conical bodies has never been easier with some enhancements to the Rip command where all we need is a circular edge and a sketch point to define where the Rip gap needs to go. These new enhancements should make creating and using sheet metal parts faster than ever.
