SOLIDWORKS Electrical – Manufacturing Parts Library

Manufacturing Parts Library

This post will cover two aspects of the Manufacturing Parts Library; the first will display a list of the manufacturers that are in the library after you install the software. The second part will cover the available attributes when importing manufactures parts using an Excel Spreadsheet.

Here is the list of manufactures that are supplied during the initial installation of SOLIDWORKS Electrical:

Below is a list of attributes that can be imported from an Excel Spreadsheet

Note, that you cannot import the CLASS or circuit information during the import process.  You will have to specify these after the import.

Special consideration for the following attributes and their default ‘acceptable’ values:

Library:  BLANK, Ciposa, JIS, Library, Motor Drives – Motor controllers, Simplex, test, USER

  • NOTE:  You can have more than these libraries but they must be defined in SolidWorks Electrical first.

Type: Base, Auxiliary, Accessory, PLC, Rack, Module with interface, Module without interface, Point type interface, Circuit type interface
