In this video, I show an overview Creaform’s VX Inspect software module that can be added to VX Elements software, the main interface into their scanning and probing hardware. The general workflow of an Inspection sequence or plan is demonstrated from beginning to end. I show how to import a scanned part and perform an alignment to the CAD nominal model. From there entities can be created to both use in measurement or as reference to create other types of measuring, such as basic linear, angular and radial dimensions. Editing tolerances and creating entity groups are shown. The creation of a 3D colormap along with annotations is demonstrated. Additional features such as snapshots and cross sections are shown in the presentation. Finally, when the required measurements are completed the user can generate a Microsoft Excel report to document the inspection.
