This video shows you how to add a “blank” part to a SOLIDWORKS PDM Bill Of Materials (BOM). I offer a simple-to-teach PDM workflow method that can be used entirely outside of SOLIDWORKS by anybody using a PDM Contributor or editor license. Everything I show is “out-of-the-box” capabilities for PDM Standard or PDM Professional that won’t require any particular setup or unique configuration.
