SOLIDWORKS Tutorial – New Part Using Delete Keep Bodies

In this video, we will show how to create a new part from a multi-bodied imported .stp file. We got a file from a customer and we want to recreate one of the parts. Is there a quick and easy way we can remove all the bodies in the part except the one we want? How can I get this body into a unique part file? Using the command Delete/Keep bodies we can select the body we want and remove all the other bodies from the file. From here we can use the Save Bodies command or the Insert into New Part commands to get this part into its own new file. The process is simple quick and easy, as with most things in SOLIDWORKS we can do this many ways. Let’s jump right in and see how easy this is.
