This video shows unique workflow tools within Geomagic Design X. The benefits of region grouping is explained. Region Grouping classifies various geometry in the mesh as prismatic geometric shapes. This can help create reference geometry such as planes, axes and prismatic shapes for downstream alignment as well as using the modeling wizards to expedite the modeling workflow. Another unique tool, using the silhouette arrow inside of the mesh sketch function is shown to extract 3d edges or shapes that get projected on the 2d mesh sketch plane. This function can be used with both planar and revolved mesh sketches.
