Grabcad Advanced FDM Tutorial - Self Supporting Holes

When using additive technologies, regardless of type (SLA, FDM, POLYJET, etc), many users run prints only to find out the holes are oval shaped when they pull the part off the build plate. While some parts can be saved/fixed we are often forced to reprint the part in a new orientation that isn’t optimal for the part as a whole just so our holes come out round.
We have a cool new feature in GrabCad where we can swap out round holes, that traditionally print with support, for diamond-shaped holes that require no support. The diamond-shaped holes can later be drilled out for higher precision when perfectly round holes are required. While this requires the extra step of drilling the diamond-shaped holes out as a post process it ensures accuracy and that the first print will be a successful one.
