We have seen different assembly performance tools for years, but SOLIDWORKS 2020 helps out on the drawing side. With the new Detailing Mode, we can open a drawing without having to load the models into memory. The drawing opens very quickly, but we still have tools for adding and modifying annotations, moving views and even creating new sheets. The drawing sheets can be renamed and reordered as well. We can add dimensions to drawing views as well to finish detailing the parts and assemblies. The changes can be saved and printed to capture the completion of the detailing. Complex drawings shouldn’t be much faster to work with using the new Detailing Mode option. Presented by Tony Riggs of GoEngineer.
