SOLIDWORKS 2020 has some enhancements and tools that we can use to reduce the number of mouse clicks for making drawings as well as new dimensioning tools and drawing view options that can help us relay our design intent for our manufacturing drawings. There are new tools for standardizing our standard view scales as well as faster options for creating custom sheet and view scales. The new Chain Dimension tool will speed up stacked dimension creation too. We can even use that tool at the sketch level. We have new options for the Alternate Position view. We have been able to create alternate position views for assembly drawings for years, but now we can use part configurations to show different versions of the part file in the same view.
