SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation Magnus Effect and Airfoils

Can we take advantage of magnus effect to solve a common aircraft problem? Deep stall is the worst kind of stall a pilot can encounter. In this webinar I will use Flow Simulation to set up a parametric study to analyze a theory I came up with in college. The goal of this study is to compare lift and find the critical angle of attack for two wing designs. The first wing design will be a basic straight, symmetrical (NACA 0012 & 0015) and constant wing thickness. The second wing will be the same wing, but the leading edge will be a cylinder that we will also vary the texture on. We will then test a golf ball pattern, smooth and shallow blades along the length of the cylinder.
