A vault view is the place in Windows Explorer where clients interact with SOLIDWORKS PDM. This is the location where they save files and check them into or out of PDM. For various reasons, this view may stop working. Additionally, the normal method of deleting this view may not work. This video describes how to delete this view and save any work on files that had been checked out in the view. This includes converting the view to a standard Windows folder, renaming the folder and then clearing out the register references to this view. After this, create a new view, search for any files checked out to this view and save the search result. Undo checkout on these files and now use the saved search results to copy the latest version from the old vault view folder to the new view and check them in.
