This video covers how to use the Set Revision command on files that have a multi-component revision scheme—specifically, this video will cover the assumptions, the requirements, and the setup of implementing this method in the workflow. One of the limitations of the Set Revision command in PDM is that the list of available revisions you can set a file to is determined completely by the state its in, and it is unable to increment each component in the revision by different amounts. By creating and setting up additional workflow states to increment each component individually by a manual amount, it becomes possible to use Set Revision to properly set a file at a complex revision to what it needs to be in the workflow without having to manually cycle it through the workflow.
