This video goes along with my Blog on creating a 3D printed model to help cut-out some of the range of a light sensor. Anyone that has a motion light switch that is always turning the light on, this video is for you. Learn how to model up this little plastic piece, and keep in mind some of the issues that might arise from the final product. Start out with a simple workflow of placing a picture in the model and then working with the geometry to create a perfect fit and help solve a solution in a creative way. I received some feedback from my peers on modeling the part in a different way using the Shell feature, and we interrogate the design process with this scenario as well.
