SOLIDWORKS has several tools for simplifying the steps involved with designing molds. One of those tools is the Core tool. Side cores are needed in molds when there are features that are perpendicular to the direction of pull of the mold. In this short video we demonstrate how to use the Core tool to create a side core for a molded part that contains a logo.
