SOLIDWORKS Tutorial - Templates with Global Variables

In this video we will create a custom SOLIDWORKS template that contains global variables to control the sketch contours. By creating a custom template, we can re-use existing data to create products that have similar profiles quickly and efficiently. In this case we will start a new file, in this file we will create Global Variables and equations. These variables will control the shape and we can quickly modify our design without having to go back into the sketches that control the features. Once we set our Global Variables and Equations, we will save the template. We will then start a new file using this template and make a solid model. Finally, we then look at a more complex design where global variables are used to create a golf putter.
