SOLIDWORKS Tutorial - Using Misaligned Mates

This is a quick tip SOLIDWORKS tutorial on misaligned mates. Misaligned mates use a special type of concentric mate to account for any misalignment condition in SOLIDWORKS models. This mate option avoids SOLIDWORKS warnings and errors allowing you to align the mate to resolve exactly with either the first or second concentric mate applying the offset to the concentric mate being added that is not aligned. The third option is to have both concentric mates misaligned by an equal amount. In the misaligned mate property manager the results box will automatically provide misaligned deviation values conveniently for quick review. This is the perfect solution to get the most real world scenario into your design.
