Stratasys Tutorial - Fortus Tip Change Process

If you’ve got a new team member, in your 3D Printer room asking, “How do I remove/change the tips on our high-end Stratasys FDM system?”; we’ve got a video that can answer that question. This is quick “how to” review of the process for changing/removing the tips on all the 360, 400, 380, 450, and 900 machines. The Stratasys FDM process was created back in 1989 and since that time, they’ve continued to be the leading pioneers for the advancement of materials and applications related to this process. 3D Printing is not just about whether or not you can extrude a material but more so, about the science behind material composition, proper thermal requirements, and the understanding of how plastics behave, in both a heated and cooled state. Stratasys is a world leader, regarding 3D Printing and specifically, the FDM technology, and understanding how all these materials behave in their systems is paramount to their and their client’s success. This video is intended to demonstrate, aside from the variation of digital interfaces, the process for removing the head, changing out the tips, and replacing the assembly for the next usage. The main focus here is the removal of the head and tips, as that will apply to all the above-mentioned systems, regardless of the screen interface required to get to that point.
