Stratasys Tutorial - Fortus Tips and Foundation Sheets

If you’ve got a new team member, in your 3D Printer room asking, “How do I know what tips to use for each material on my Fortus system?”; we’ve got a video that can answer that question. This is quick “how to” review of the Tips and Foundation Sheet combinations for all the Titan, Vantage, 360, 400, 380, 450, and 900 class Stratasys FDM machines. The Stratasys FDM process was created back in 1989 and since that time, they’ve continued to be the leading pioneers for the advancement of materials and applications related to this process. 3D Printing is not just about whether or not you can extrude a material but more so, about the science behind material composition, proper thermal requirements, and the understanding of how plastics behave, in both a heated and cooled state. Stratasys is a world leader, regarding 3D Printing and specifically, the FDM technology, and understanding how all these materials behave in their systems is paramount to their and their client’s success. This video is intended to illustrate when and why to select certain tips and how each tip correlates to a specific resolution and toolpath width.
