Reassigning CAMWorks Licenses

Article by Krystal Petersen on Oct 01, 2025

CAMWorks Network licenses will sometimes forget what licenses to check out when you start the software. It knows it has a valid CAMWorks license, but the modules for the licenses don’t get pulled with the license. This can lead to greyed-out toolpaths or odd error prompts when clicking through the tabs. This can be easily fixed by reassigning the modules back to the software.

License Info

To fix this, go to the Help menu in the top right, then select CAMWorks > License Info.

Reassigning CAMWorks Licenses

From there, a new box will open displaying all the modules available with your CAMWorks licenses. To make those modules available on your machine again, scroll to the bottom and hit Select All.

Reassigning CAMWorks Licenses

Once all the options are selected, click Update Licenses. This will then pull the modules you’re entitled to back to that machine and allow you full use of the add-in.
