Select One Multi-Factor Authentication Method

All users, existing and new, must set up Multi-Factor Authentication for a GoEngineer account.

There are 2 verification methods:

  • An authenticator app is the recommended method for Authentication and requires access to a mobile device.
  • An email code is provided as an alternative for those without access to a mobile device.

Select Authentication Method GoE Customer Portal

Each authentication method includes:

  • An initial setup process
  • An ongoing authentication process used for each subsequent sign-in

This blog demonstrates the setup process for both authentication methods, followed by the authentication steps required for subsequent sign-in.

Only one authentication method needs to be configured and used.

Authenticator App for Multi-Factor Authentication

The authenticator app for Multi-Factor Authentication is the preferred choice because it offers the strongest account protection.
