CST studio for electrical design - signal and power integrity - webinar

Electronic devices are integrated into many product designs. From household appliances, automobiles, medical equipment, aircraft, mobile devices, and more, the electronic circuits are becoming very complex. These circuits must work in conjunction with other electronic devices while keeping signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI). There are also electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards that must be met. The PCB boards within the electronic devices will create heat and need to be cooled. Simulation of these designs using CST Studio Suite in the development stage will identify problems that can be corrected prior to the start of manufacture.

In this first part we will look at using the CST Studio suite to analyze signal integrity and power integrity covering these topics:

Signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) with Emmanuel Leroux of Dassault Systemes
• In which cases do you need to simulate your PCB for SI/PI?
• How can you bend your PCB to be used for wearable device and simulate it?
• How can a quick Design Rule Check help to get rid of SI/EMI (Electromagnetic Interferences) issues even without simulation?
• Verify if you can achieve the required speed (Mbits/s) on your high-speed connection by checking Eye diagram.
• Discover how to optimize the number of decoupling capacitors on your PCB to enhance Power Integrity of your Power Distribution Network (PDN)
