SOLIDWORKS 2024 provides some great enhancements to assemblies. In particular, it's now easier to create width mates, assemblies are quicker to start, and there are some especially incredible enhancements for saving your files.

For assemblies in SOLIDWORKS 2024, the first item we'll take a look at in this video is "insert component". When selecting a configuration, the configuration description is now shown alongside the configuration name. Fix and float options are also included in the property manager and have some new options. We can choose to only fix the first component, fix the component, or float.

Also notable are updates to mate references, and creating mates. For example, there's a new option to 'create mates only when the names match'. This provides more predictable results and greater efficiency.
