How AAKRUTI Innovation Competition Is Shaping the Next Generation of Engineers

This isn’t just another design contest; it's a global challenge hosted by Dassault Systèmes that gives students the tools, the mentorship, and the stage to tackle real-world engineering and societal challenges, proving they’re ready for the industry.
What is AAKRUTI?
AAKRUTI is an international design competition that pushes students to move beyond the textbook. Participants are tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and validating solutions using the same industrial-grade tools the pros use: SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The competition is on a global stage, bringing together student teams from over 37 countries to compete at both regional and international levels. With a focus on sustainability and engineering excellence, it's an opportunity to see how your work stacks up on a global scale.
Who Can Participate?
One of the most unique aspects of AAKRUTI is its inclusivity across disciplines. While it is rooted in engineering, the competition thrives on a diversity of perspectives.
- Undergraduate Students: Open to all undergrads in Engineering, Design, Architecture, Medicine, Management, and Social Sciences.
- Team Structure: Teams consist of four students and one teacher as a mentor.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Teams are encouraged to form across different disciplines to bring a mix of expertise to the project.
- Masters Mentorship: Current or former Master's students can participate by serving as team mentors to undergraduate groups.
- Empowering Women in Tech: To support diversity in STEM, there is a dedicated prize for an “All Girls” team.

The 2026 themes guide participants toward solving meaningful global and community challenges.
Robotics
Design intelligent systems for industrial automation, service or bio-inspired robotics, disaster response, or even space exploration.
