Tenant Activation Process for 3DEXPERIENCE Administrators
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is a cloud-based environment that connects an organization’s business activities using a unified data model. When you become a 3DEXPERIENCE customer, Dassault Systèmes provides you with a Tenant. The Tenant is your cloud-based environment, your space, in one of the Data Centers (Cloud Servers) located around the world. Log into your Tenant to access the Roles and Apps you’ve purchased and to access your data.
Before anything else, your Tenant must be activated by your organization’s designated Platform Administrator. The Platform Administrator is responsible for setting up and configuring the Tenant to suit your organization’s policies and processes as well as inviting users and assigning Roles.
The Platform Administrator will receive an email from ECO-OrderAdmin@3DS.com stating your services related to the Dassault Systemes reference number are now available. This email contains a link that will start the Tenant activation process. If you do not receive this email, check the Junk folder.
If you are a GoEngineer customer, you will receive a second email from a Customer Success Manager containing a link to start the activation process. Schedule a meeting with the Customer Success Manager to walk you through the Tenant activation process, set up the GoEngineer Success Hub, and learn about all the great services you receive for being a valued GoEngineer customer.
Click the link to launch the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and start the activation process.
The Welcome to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform screen appears. By clicking Make Me Administrator, you will:
- Become the default Platform Administrator
- Receive a user license
- Not be able to transfer this license for 30 days.
So, please be sure you are intending to be the Platform Administrator and click Make Me Administrator.
You may be prompted to log into the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. You can log in with an existing 3DEXPERIENCE ID, create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID, or log in with your SOLIDWORKS ID.
If you create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID, you will be prompted for the following information and then click Register.
After logging in, the Agreement Acceptance window appears. This is the Client License and Online Services Agreement. Review the agreement.
Click Download Agreement to read it as a PDF file with the option to download. You must scroll to the bottom of the Agreement Acceptance window and click Accept to proceed.
Your 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is now activated! You should be logged in and the Welcome Screen will appear. Scroll through the windows to see some useful information and tips.
Optionally, click the checkbox to not show the Welcome Screen when starting up. Click the X to close the Welcome Screen.
You are greeted with a 3DDashboard; this dashboard is the user interface to the Platform.
Click the Dashboard List icon to show your accessible Dashboards.
This will open a left pane with a list of the accessible Dashboards. As the Administrator, you will be working in the Platform Management Dashboard. This is where you will set up and configure your Tenant.
