If your company uses the 3DEXPERIENCE, you’ve likely encountered the 3DEXPERIENCE login box in SOLIDWORKS. Whether you’re new to cloud-connected tools or just want to understand the basics, this post will walk you through how to log in, how to log out, and what the Remember Me checkbox actually does.
When launching SOLIDWORKS with a 3DEXPERIENCE-connected role, like 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS or SOLIDWORKS Connected, a login box will appear.
Steps to log in:
Note: For extra security, users can set up 2-factor authentication.
The Remember Me checkbox is meant to save you time by skipping the login box and keeping you signed in a little longer. It won’t keep you logged in forever, but it does extend how long you stay signed in.
If Remember Me is not checked, you’ll be logged out after 24 hours. If you do check it, you’ll stay logged in for 7 days before needing to sign in again.
So, while 3DEXPERIENCE will remember you for a bit, it won’t remember you forever; you’ll still have to log in again eventually.
Note: Remember Me is useful on personal computers, but if you share your computer with other users, you may prefer to leave it unchecked for security and privacy.
If you ever need to log out, whether you’re switching users or for privacy reasons, the process is simple:
Once logged out, SOLIDWORKS will disconnect from the platform until you log in again. Logging out does not close SOLIDWORKS, and you can continue working locally, but cloud-connected features will be unavailable until you reconnect.
Note: Closing SOLIDWORKS or restarting your computer will not log you out.
If you’re having issues logging in:
