Fund SOLIDWORKS Training with the Ohio TechCred

Article by GoEngineer on Sep 30, 2026

What is THE OHIO TechCred?

Ohio’s TechCred Program provides businesses the chance to increase their current and future employees’ SOLIDWORKS skills with available funding. Businesses who submit successful applications will be reimbursed, up to $1000 per employee, per credential, when current or prospective employees complete technology-focused credentials, such as GoEngineer’s training offerings. TechCred funding helps Ohioans learn new skills and helps employers build a stronger workforce with the skills needed in a technology-infused economy. Many of these trainings can be completed online. These technology-focused credentials take a year or less to complete and prepare current and future employees for the technology jobs Ohio employers need.

Who is eligible?

Any Ohio registered employer that employs Ohio resident W-2 employees is eligible to receive reimbursement for training costs of current and/or prospective employees.

How can I Leverage the TechCred to Cover SOLIDWORKS Training Expenses?

Companies apply for and receive TechCred funds by following these steps:

    1. Develop a Training Plan – Employers identify the skills their workforce needs and review the approved credential list to find programs that align with those needs and business goals.
    2. Apply – Employers apply during an open application period. TechCred Program
    3. Get Approved – The Ohio Department of Development reviews and awards funding.
    4. Provide Training – Employers pay for employees to complete an eligible credential program.
